Fun measuring our animal teeth!

We had fun Friday afternoon measuring our animal teeth!  We chose several different items to use to measure with, such as rulers, yardsticks, tape measures, unifix cubes, linking chips, straws, string and even ourselves!

We had a great time working together and then put our teeth in order from longest to shortest.  Marshaun's elephant tusk was the longest and Caylee's bat tooth was the shortest.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Hofstad!

On Friday we celebrated Mrs. Hofstad's birthday!  She brought us cute little "cars with bears" for snack.  Thank you Mrs. Hofstad-we hope you enjoyed your day!

Our tulips are up!

Last fall during our seed project, we planted some tulip bulbs on the north side of the fence out the east doors of our school.  Last Thursday, we checked on them and were excited to see that our tulips have begun to grow!  We will keep a close watch on them this Spring!

MJ is Star of the Week

MJ is our new star of the week!  He shared several pictures with us today.  We especially thought the ones of him as a baby were very cute.  He also shared one of his favorite books, Finders Keepers with Franklin, and a favorite toy that he plays with in the sandbox.  He uses it to build things.  Thanks for sharing with us MJ-we hope you have a great week!

Happy birthday, Sean!

Today we celebrated with our friend, Sean, as he will turn 6 on July 21st.  He had a great day with his "pretend" birthday at school.  Thanks for the cupcake treats!

Jacob is Star of the Week

Celebrating Marshaun's birthday!

Today we are celebrating our friend, Marshaun's, summer birthday!  Marshaun will turn 6 on July 7.  Thank you for the yummy birthday treats today!  We hope you enjoy your special day with us!

Lily shares a tiger tooth!

Since we are busy studying animal teeth, our friend, Lily, brought a tiger tooth to share with us.  We were all amazed at how big the tooth was.  Ayden chose a tiger for his animal to study so he found a picture in his book to show us the tooth in the tiger's mouth.  We got out the ruler to measure how big the tooth was!  Thanks for sharing.  Families, please remember if you have anything relating to animal teeth at home or any special knowledge, we'd love to have you share with us!

Mrs. Larson reads with us

Our special friend, Mrs. Larson, came to visit on Tuesday, March 31st to share some special Easter stories with us.  She read two stories to us.  One was her personal favorite, Max's Chocolate Chicken, and the other was a Clifford book.  We love it when she comes to read to us!  Thank you.

Celebrating Addyson's birthday

On Tuesday, March 31, we celebrated our friend Addyson's pretend birthday.  Addyson will turn 6 on June 16.  We hope you had a great day Addyson.  Thank you for the cookie treats!
