Fun digging carrots

We enjoyed our visit to the ILCC garden on Friday afternoon.  We met our friend, Calvin Christensen, at the garden.  He showed us the rows of carrots growing in the garden.  We could see the green stems and leaves sticking out of the dirt.  When we looked closely down at the dirt, we could see orange carrot tops sticking out!  Cal used a pitchfork to dig a carrot for each of us.  Most of the carrots were very long and big.
