Site visit to the Pumpkin Patch

We visited the pumpkin patch at Scuffham's Garden on Thursday, October 16th.  It was a great day for learning about pumpkins, gourds and squash!  We met Helen in her yard and she showed us the big pumpkins!  We enjoyed climbing up on the hayrack for a class picture with them.  She showed us her farm store and many different kinds of pumpkins.  We learned that the secret is in the seed!  We were able to explore the pumpkin patch and complete observational drawings of the growing pumpkins.
